Often described as a quirky introvert, Joy Slesinger is an experienced educator whose driving passion is working with people. As a musician who prefers silence, a motorcyclist with no interest in mechanics, a pacifist who enjoys target shooting at the gun range, a bookworm who plays floor hockey, and an avid hiker with a fear of heights, she embraces being a walking contradiction, understanding that letting go of labels is a step towards embracing a truly radiant, limitless life.

As a long time teacher and educational administrator turned professional coach, Joy has developed a unique perspective when it comes to personal growth and transformation, influenced by years of study in neuroplasticity, growth mindset and the art of teaching and learning. When you work with Joy, you work with someone who has deeply studied the art of coaching and backed it with 25 years of practical experience helping students and teachers reach their highest potential.

Joy prides herself on being an academic and an intellectual, highly analytical and always diving into the science to learn why and how things work rather than just trusting that they do. She is also passionate about spirituality, mindfulness, the power of intention and the art of trusting your intuition. Part of being a walking contradiction? Perhaps.

Regardless, it doesn't matter if you prefer a left-brained, analytical approach to achieving your goals, a more spiritual or emotion centered approach or a combination of the two. Joy understands that coaching is not about her, it is about you. Her calling towards coaching comes from a love for listening, learning about and connecting with who you are, what drives you, and then helping you discover the answers and wisdom you already have deep within yourself. Every coaching relationship is unique, so she'll work with your distinctive perspective and learning style so that you can achieve the life you imagine and then, imagine even further.

Education and Cerftifications
Everything I have learned in my 25 years as an educator has led me to to coaching. The essence of excellent teaching comes down to learning who your students are at a deep level through active listening and careful observation, loving who they are as you build trusting and authentic relationships with them, and then using everything you've learned about them, their learning style, their perspectives and their dreams, to empower them to grow to new heights.
